Sourced from the cool Pacific waters off the coast of Peru, hand-harvested and sun-dried. Unlike bulk-farmed alternatives, this is wild-grown and minimally processed: rinsed, dried, nothing more. A traditional food used across coastal cultures for generations. Naturally rich in minerals and used as a gentle daily addition to meals and drinks.

What it is

Our 100% dried Peruvian sea moss, for those who love to make their own gel from scratch. The same wild red sea vegetable, simply dried, naturally rich in minerals, trace elements and soluble fibre, and naturally containing iodine, iron, magnesium, potassium, zinc and calcium. A little goes a long way, and 35g makes a generous batch.

Sea moss is naturally rich in minerals, trace elements and soluble fibre, and naturally contains iodine, iron, magnesium, potassium, zinc and calcium. The exact profile varies with where it grows and how it is harvested.

Functional benefits

  • Supports digestive health. Sea moss contains soluble polysaccharides and dietary fiber, which can contribute to normal digestive function.

  • Prebiotic potential: Some of its complex carbohydrates can act as substrates for beneficial gut microbes, giving sea moss an interesting gut-health/prebiotic angle. Human evidence is still developing.

  • Antioxidant compounds: Seaweeds contain various bioactive compounds with antioxidant activity, potentially helping the body manage oxidative stress.

  • Supports normal immune function: Its polysaccharides and other marine bioactives have been investigated for immunomodulatory effects. I'd describe this as emerging research rather than a proven immune “boost.”

  • Supports skin health: The minerals, polysaccharides and antioxidant compounds in sea moss have generated interest in skin hydration, barrier support and overall skin health, particularly in topical applications.

  • Naturally low in fat: Sea moss can add micronutrients and functional carbohydrates without contributing much fat.
